Each piece is handmade with love and attention by local craftsmen in Fryslan, using solid wood, 100% natural finishes and mineral paint. Wood keeps you connected with nature and the feeling for a simpler, slower life in this hurly burly world. Iron gives it a bit of industrial look and feel. The Mun collection has a family of models which all relate to each other, to be mixed at random for a personal result.
SlowWood uses ecological mineral paints and finishes who are obtained by gentle processes from mother earth, entirely without any synthetic solvents or other irritant substances. Mineral pigments such as oxide, yellow ochre and earth black create unique matt colours. In fact some colours are the first earth paints used by mankind! Each colour has an incredible depth and harmony. Some colours take 1 week to dry! The slow aspect… The colours can be mixed at random and always make a contemporary match.
The MUN Collection is available in ash or oak, treated with white soap, natural /white oil or chalk/lacquered. The earth tone colour scheme exists of 10 colours.
